In Poland, near Christianstadt, is probably the largest explosives factory from the former German Reich. This forgotten factory should be one of our most interesting objects that we had visited until then. One problem we faced was that we didn’t have any information about this forgotten factory, except for a doctoral thesis, which didn’t have much information either. We will list the most important data in the next sections and at the end you will find the two videos. Unfortunately, the sound is not quite optimal due to the very dry forest and we apologize for that.

A forgotten factory? How does it work?
When researching this area, we noticed that we couldn’t really find much apart from a small newspaper article and an article from the FAZ. We were actually able to draw the most information from the doctoral thesis. Many other documents were destroyed or disappeared after the war. This also explains how you could forget this place. We cannot say at this point in time whether myths have also formed around this area, but if we find out anything, we will report it here.
According to Martina Löbner’s doctoral thesis, no files could be found in Polish or Russian archives. In addition, part of the factory was dismantled in January 1945 and moved to an unknown location. Companies involved in the construction, such as Siemens, allegedly also no longer have any documents. According to Ms. Löbner, however, that is doubtful.
She ends the introduction and task of her doctoral thesis with a meaningful sentence:
I often couldn’t get rid of the thought that the explosives plant in

Christianstadt has remained a “Secret Reich matter” to this day…
